The mechanical systems constructed and maintained by MCA-Maryland member companies impact the environment, and ‘green building’ is becoming an increasingly preferred method of construction for owners and developers. The high cost of energy consumption underscores the need for greater conservation and the benefits of green building are more apparent than ever before. MCA-Maryland is committed to promoting green building education/practices and designing/constructing energy efficient mechanical systems and is proud to be part of the community of leaders working to promote green building and energy conservation. MCA-Maryland is also a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, a non-profit organization that certifies sustainable businesses, homes, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods.
